Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your download and use of Unit Converter Currency Rate (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to these terms.

1. License

The App is licensed, not sold, to you under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on iPhone and iPad devices you own or control, running iOS 16.6 or later.

2. Free version and Premium

The App is free to download. The free version includes:

  • Unit conversion in 6 categories: length, area, volume, angle, mass, and pressure.
  • Currency conversion with your default base currency.
  • Changing the base currency up to 3 times, and viewing exchange-rate charts up to 2 times.
  • Ads.

Premium unlocks all 40 unit categories, unlimited base-currency changes and exchange-rate charts, pinning currencies to the top, copying results with one tap, and removes ads.

3. Plans and pricing

Premium is offered as (US App Store prices; prices in other regions are set in local currency and may include taxes):

  • Weekly: $4.99 per week, auto-renewing.
  • Yearly: $29.99 per year, auto-renewing. Eligible new subscribers get a 3-day free trial.
  • Lifetime: $49.99, one-time purchase with no renewals.

Existing monthly subscriptions purchased earlier continue to renew at their current price until you cancel them. The monthly plan is no longer offered to new subscribers.

The exact price, billing period, and any free trial are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm.

4. Auto-renewal, free trials, and billing

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.

Weekly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of your plan.

If a plan includes a free trial, the trial length and the amount charged after it are shown before you confirm. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you will not be charged. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a subscription any time in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

Billing, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple Media Services policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the App or switch devices, tap Restore Purchases in the App to restore an active subscription or a lifetime purchase made with the same Apple Account.

7. Exchange rates and conversion results

Exchange rates are reference rates from third-party providers (the European Central Bank via Frankfurter, and ExchangeRate-API), usually updated once per business day. They can differ from the rates your bank, card issuer, or exchange service uses. Do not rely on them for trading or financial transactions.

Unit conversions use standard conversion factors. Check results before using them where accuracy matters, such as medical, legal, or engineering work.

8. Third-party services

The App uses Google AdMob to show ads in the free version, and Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) to understand usage and fix crashes. These services have their own terms. See our Privacy Policy for what data they process.

9. Acceptable use

Use the App only for lawful purposes. Do not decompile, reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the App, or try to get around the limits on Premium features.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the App or its plans change. The effective date above shows when they last changed.
